Summer Skincare: Our Tips

Most people, especially our customers, know that the human skin changes as the seasons change. And right about now, it is too hot. Making it almost unbearable to sit in your car before the AC catches up. We are sweaty, our skin is prone to pimples, sun damage, irritation and more. So, we've come up with a list of products to fit all of your needs, no matter the beard, clean shave, or skin type.

First, this is going to sound like we’re nagging, and we know you’ve heard it a million times, but you need sunscreen. In order to keep your skin from appearing wrinkled, having dark spots, and potentially anything worse, start with sunscreen. Next, you should be using something as a moisturizer whether it be for oily, dry, or combination skin. This step can be combined with the first (sun-care), if you find a duo product that works for you. 

Next, if you plan on a clean face for summer, these may be the products for you:

• Hydration Potion: For hydration (of course), it is a great base product. Goes well with moisturizer. It is oil free, perfect for oily skin. 
• Rescue Potion: Can be used for recovering skin when you need a fast easy pick me up. This formula is long lasting by penetrating the skin. Meaning, it’s good for those of us who have dry and combination skin types.
• Skin rescue: Lastly for those of you who have tough, stubborn, problem prone skin, Skin Rescue is your final resort (or final summer destination). Skin Rescue can help with eczema and psoriasis flare-ups (which can be worse in the heat and the extreme cold of winter). Whether it be just for your face or the body. It’s also good for tattoos, and in the summer our tattoos need a pick me up. 

But if you are still going strong with a beard, or need a shave soap scent, try these scents in order to smell the part.

Just as we’ve posted on our socials before, The Socialite is our cooling duo, made specifically to keep you chilled. The scent is of lime, gin, and crisp ice. Doesn’t get much cooler than that.

Next is our summer release, The Gatherer. This soap and splash duo will remind you of the reasons you don’t totally hate the heat. Because, with the heat, brings peaches. This scent smells of sweet peach, oranges, and musk. What more needs to be said?

Of course our aquatics are perfect for summer, but I’m sure you already knew that. The Navigator is great for those of you who love the smell of a nice summer day on the water. The Watchman depicts notes of the sea as well, yet with a night feel perfect for those cooler, comfier summer nights. 

The last little tip and suggestion that we can provide is that you use the Recovery Splashes and Beard Balms. The Splashes are lighter for the heavy sun. The beard balm to keep your luxurious beards tame at work, they can go a skew from sweat and grime otherwise.  

This blog post may make you feel as if it's too late for your skin and beards to catch up for the hot weather… However, the summer season doesn’t officially end until September 21st. Meaning, you still have ample time to get your summer skincare routine going.
